Louis Stone was born in Orlando Florida on
June 4th 1924 and died Sept 22, 2016. He was a part of what has
been called the greatest generation for what they accomplished
as a nation, protecting freedom which lead to the greatest
changes in human events that took place in the 20th century. In
1924 the horse and buggy was still primary transportation for the
majority, but he lived to see men on the moon, and so many other
technical and social changes since that time.
Lou's proudest accomplishment was the privilege to work for
Orlando Utilities and be a leader in the construction of 3 power
plants, managing the overall electric division and leading the
charge that OUC lead by being the most reliable utility in the
state. He was the original Mr. Reliability that OUC continues to
hold as its principle mission.
